Public question time

Residents of Longyearbyen can ask questions directly to politicians in connection with local council meetings.

To give residents of Longyearbyen the opportunity to ask questions directly to politicians or the administration, the local council has a system of public question time in connection with local council meetings. Anyone who is registered in the population register as a resident of Longyearbyen can take advantage of this opportunity. Questions must be of general interest to the residents of Longyearbyen.
