Svalbardhallen
Svalbardhallen is owned and operated by Longyearbyen Local Council, and here we have a large sports hall, swimming pool, gym, spinning room, and kiosk. Svalbard Turn is the largest sports club in Longyearbyen, and they rent the hall for their many activities. Opening hours
The gym is open seven days a week. All opening hours can be found here:
Gym
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Kiosk/ticket sales
- Monday: 4:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Friday: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Swimming pool
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
- Thursday: CLOSED
- Saturday: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (baby swimming) and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Buy tickets and gym passes
Single tickets and gym passes for the swimming pool and gym can be purchased online in
the Svalbardhallen webshop External link. or at the kiosk when it is open.
After purchase, you will receive a QR code per ticket by email. This gives you access to Svalbardhallen during our opening hours.
Please note that there is a minimum age limit of 15 for adult tickets and access to the gym.
All children under the age of 3 are free.

Gym
- On Saturdays and Sundays, the entrance door will only be open during the designated opening hours for the gym; see further up the page.
- To use the gym, you must have a valid gym card, which you can purchase in the Svalbardhallen webshop External link.. Prices are listed below or when you log in.
- Training is at your own risk.
- The age limit is 15 years.
- The building must be vacated by the specified closing time.
The facility consists of a hall with cardio and strength training equipment.

Training cards are personal and must not be used by others.

*** The gym has an age limit of 15 years. Youth tickets are valid for ages 15-19 (3rd year of high school).

All tickets and monthly passes are personal and may not be lent to others. Tickets that are misused will be blocked without notice.

The hall
The hall can be divided into three sections with a sound wall and a net wall.
Equipment is available for handball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, and tennis. There is also a climbing wall in the hall.
The sports hall is rented out to the school during the day and to Svalbard Turn in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Swimming pool
Swimming pool with a 25-meter pool.
Baby swimming is offered on Saturdays from 12:00 to 13:00, and the water is heated for this purpose. We encourage other bathers to show consideration for the little ones.
We sell swim diapers at the kiosk.

Solarium
SOLARIUM
The solarium is currently closed. We are installing a new solarium.
The solarium is open every day during the kiosk's opening hours.
One customer per hour!
Only solarium cards are accepted as payment (can be purchased at the kiosk).
