Public safety and emergency preparedness

The Longyearbyen Local Authority shall work comprehensively and systematically with public safety and emergency preparedness, with the aim of reducing the risk of loss of life or damage to health, the environment, and material assets. The Local Authority shall be prepared to deal with undesirable incidents within the area covered by the land use plan.
