Information on the 2026 road toll
Road tax bills will be mailed out this spring. Here is some information for everyone who owns a vehicle in the city.
The invoice will be sent to the person registered as the owner of the vehicle as of January 1, 2026. To ensure that the mailing process goes as smoothly as possible for both you and us, we ask that you do the following:
- Changes to address or email:
If you have moved or changed your email address, please notify us (including your new address and apartment number if applicable) at: faktura@lokalstyre.no
- Use of Digipost:
We recommend that everyone install the Digipost app. Invoices are automatically sent to Digipost for everyone who has this, regardless of any changes to address or email.
- Vehicles with white license plates:
Owners of vehicles with white license plates are asked to send an email to Lillian Risvaag with the registration number and billing address.
- Sale of vehicles after the New Year:
If you have sold, or plan to sell, your vehicle after the New Year, the invoice will still be sent to the registered owner as of January 1, 2026.
You must arrange with the new owner how the road tax will be handled. - Wheel loaders:
Wheel loaders are also subject to road tolls. If you have purchased a wheel loader in the past year, please notify Lillian Risvaag.
