In memory of Anne Rakel Østli

It is with great sadness that we received the news that our colleague of 16 years, Anne Rakel Østli, passed away on Friday, March 6. She was 63 years old.

Anne Rakel came to Longyearbyen in 2008 to start as archivist for the Longyearbyen local government, a role she filled with great dedication and high professional quality. Anne Rakel had an impressive respect for the value of archives.

She was professional, service-minded, and a highly respected expert and colleague. Her work has been important both for Longyearbyen today and for its future.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

The funeral will take place on April 8 at 12:00 p.m. in Åssiden Church and will be streamed from Karlsberger pub. Condolence cards will be available at Innbyggertorget from March 23 and at KB on April 8.
