Changes to the Scheduled Program and Activities This Weekend

The passing of King Harald V on August 28, 2026, has led to some changes in this weekend's planned program.

Scheduled movie screenings at Nordover have been canceled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Purchased tickets will be refunded. Rentals and private screenings will proceed as planned.

Longyearbyen Pride has, at its own request, postponed all weekend events, including those parts of the program that were to take place at Kulturhuset, Nordover, and the Library. See Longyearbyen Pride’s channels for more information.

The Rainbow Mass at the church will take place as planned on Sunday.

Otherwise, opening hours will be as usual. Decisions regarding events next week will be made on an ongoing basis.
