Periodic closure of Road 400 leading up to Mine 7

In connection with the cleanup of contaminated soil around Mine 7, we will close the road from the base of the mountain and up for safety reasons.

To ensure traffic safety in connection with the transport of materials, we will not allow other traffic up the mountain while the work is in progress. Many metric tons of soil and waste will be transported by trucks with trailers. These vehicles will take up a lot of space on the road and will not always have good visibility, especially on the curves. We will therefore close Road 400, from Basecamp’s dog kennel up to Mine 7.

The road will be closed every day (Monday–Sunday) between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. through October to all traffic other than construction traffic.

The exception applies only to those who have arranged access to Eiscat and KHO.
