Kindergarten Day will be 20 years old in 2025!

Play has been a recurring theme throughout the years, and will continue to be so in 2025 with the slogan "Let play live."

Kindergarten Day is celebrated every year in March, and it is the Norwegian Union of Education, the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees, and the Parents' Committee (FUB) that jointly organize the celebration. The purpose is to highlight what children get to experience and learn in kindergarten.

There is still too little knowledge about the content of the educational work in kindergartens, both among politicians, parents, and others. The kindergartens in Longyearbyen usually celebrate the day together.

This year's Kindergarten Day in week 11 will be celebrated in Svalbardhallen with a focus on play, on Monday, March 10, for toddlers from 9:15 a.m. to approx. 10:00 a.m., and on Wednesday, March 12, for older children from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

We have invited the city's politicians to join us on these days. 😊

Kind regards

The Trade Union and the Education Association in Polarflokken and Kullungen Kindergarten, represented by Annika Bengtsson, Marius Karlsen, Karina Persson, and Åsne Gjelland Lid
