Join us for Sustainability Week!

Sustainability Week is a week when the whole of Longyearbyen focuses on climate, the environment, and sustainable development. 

We are kicking off a packed program on June 3, and the week will last until June 13.

These days offer professional development and engagement around climate, environment, and sustainable development in Longyearbyen. 

What is the status of climate change and climate projections? What happens to our waste? Is it sustainable for the city to continue to grow? Housing crisis, climate crisis, nature crisis, energy crisis! What can we do better?  

But first and foremost, and fortunately, not everything is a crisis.
A lot of good work is being done in Longyearbyen today, and we want to highlight this during Sustainability Week!
