Strong storm expected - remember to secure loose objects

Strong gusts of wind are forecast in Longyearbyen from Monday evening until Wednesday this week.

We ask people to take precautions and secure loose objects, and to keep an eye on doors and windows. Remember that outdoor areas outside your home must be cleared!

Avoid unnecessary travel in exposed areas and be careful when traveling in coastal areas and at sea. 

A local storm with strong gusts of up to 30 m/s is expected.
