New cold spell – here's what you should do

We ask residents to take measures to prevent frozen pipes.

We are now experiencing a new cold spell in Longyearbyen, and residents are asked to take measures to prevent frozen pipes. 

If you notice black particles in the water, turn on the tap in your kitchen and let cold water run. Do the same if the water pressure seems lower than normal. 

Contact the building owner and the plumber on call at 900 42 509 if the water and drainage seem abnormal.
