Ingen evakuering
Basert på værprognosene og skredfaglige vurderinger fra NVE og Skred AS har Sysselmannen besluttet at det ikke blir iverksatt evakuering av boliger i Lia og Nybyen denne gangen. Deler av beredskapsrådet i Longyearbyen og Sysselmannen hadde møte med NVE og Skred AS klokken 10.00 i dag, der skredsituasjonen ble vurdert.
No evacuation
Based on the weather prognosis and avalanche assessments from NVE and Skred AS, the Governor has decided that there will be no evacuation of houses in Lia or Nybyen this time. Parts of the emergency preparedness council of Longyearbyen and the Governor had a meeting with NVE and Skred AS at 10.00 HRS today, where the avalanche situation was evaluated.
