Ved ny en forskrift er myndigheten til å treffe lokale karantenevedtak  lagt til Sysselmannen på Svalbard, som vurderer at behovet for beskyttelse og forebygging fortsatt er til stede.
Vedtaket gjelder fra 3. april kl. 18:00 til og med 10. april 2020 kl. 18.00. 

Søknad om unntak fra karantene bestemmelsene skal dermed også sendes Sysselmannen på Svalbard.

Søknad om unntak fra karanteneplikt i Longyearbyen.

Det kan søke om at samfunnskritisk nøkkelpersonell unntas fra kravet om hjemmekarantene i 14 dager etter ankomst til Longyearbyen. Unntaket gjelder kun når dette er strengt nødvendig for å opprettholde forsvarlig drift av kritiske samfunnsfunksjoner. I tillegg til dette kan det gis unntak for personer som har sittet i hjemmekarantene i 14 dager på fastlandet. Utover dette gis det ingen unntak fra disse bestemmelsene.
 
Longyearbyen lokalstyre besluttet tirsdag 17. mars 2020 at alle som ankommer Longyearbyen etter reise fra fastlandet ilegges hjemmekarantene i 14 dager etter ankomst. Vedtaket gjelder fra 18. mars 2020 kl. 06.00, og med tilbakevirkende kraft til 13. mars 2020 kl. 06.00. Vedtaket ble 25. mars forlenget og til gjelder til 3. april  2020 kl. 18.00. 
 
Søknad om unntak fra karantenebestemmelsene sendes til Longyearbyen lokalstyre på e-post til postmottak@lokalstyre.no.
 
Søknaden skal inneholde følgende opplysninger:
 
Opplysninger om søker
•            Fornavn og etternavn på søker
•            Stilling/funksjon/rolle i Longyearbyen
•            Kommentarer/begrunnelse for hvorfor det søkes unntak
•            Mobilnummer og e-post til søker
 
Opplysninger om virksomheten/arbeidsgiver
 
•            Virksomhetens/arbeidsgivers navn
•            Virksomhetens/arbeidsgivers sin kontaktperson
•            Kontaktpersonens mobilnummer
•            Kontaktpersonens e-postadresse
 
Ved søknader som er innenfor vedtatte unntaksbestemmelser, innhentes det uttalelse fra smittevernlegen ved Longyearbyen sykehus.
Det er Sysselmannen som gjør endelig vedtak. Beslutningen meddeles søker på oppgitt kontakt informasjon.

By a new regulation, the authority to make local quarantine decisions has now been transferred to the Governor of Svalbard, who considers that the need for protection and prevention is still present.

The decision is valid from 3 April at 18:00 to 10 April 2020 at 18:00.

Applications for exemptions from the quarantine regulations shall be directed to the Governor in Svalbard

You can apply for community-critical key personnel to be exempt from required home quarantine for 14 days after arriving in Longyearbyen. The exception only applies when this is strictly necessary to maintain the proper operation of critical social functions. In addition, exceptions may be made for persons who have been in home quarantine for 14 days on the mainland. Apart from this, no exemptions are granted from these provisions.

The Longyearbyen Community Council decided on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 that anyone arriving in Longyearbyen after traveling from the mainland will be placed in home quarantine for 14 days after arrival. The decision is valid from 18 March 2020 at 06:00 and retroactively back to March 13, 2020 at 06:00. The decision was extended and is valid until April 3, 2020 at. 18:00.

Applications for exemptions from the quarantine regulations are sent to the Longyearbyen Local Council by e-mail to postmottak@lokalstyre.no.

The application must contain the following information:

Applicant information

• First and last name of applicant

• Position / function / role in Longyearbyen

• Reasons why an exception is sought

• The applicant’s mobile number and email address

 

Information about the business / employer

• Name of the company / employer

• The business’/ employer's contact person

• Contact person's mobile number

• Contact person's email address

For applications that are within approved exemption provisions, a statement is obtained from the infection control doctor at Longyearbyen hospital.

It is the Governor who makes a final decision. The applicant will receive the decision via the specified contact information.
